Real Estate Adventures - Making Millions the Fun Way

Most people don’t see the connection between making money and having fun but maybe that’s what they’re doing wrong. New Zealand-born and Adelaide-based Sally Couper certainly saw the connection and has made millions while having a great time investing in the property market.

Sally is about to release her first book, explaining just how much fun she had transforming herself from an insurance agent to investment guru, motivational speaker and world traveller.

Real Estate Adventures or How I Had Fun Making Millions in Property tells the story of a self-starter who went against conventional “wisdom” and the odds and, at the age of 50, started building a local, interstate and international portfolio that today numbers more than 40 properties. From her first property purchased in working class Elizabeth in Adelaide’s northern suburbs for just $32,000, Sally has gone on to invest throughout the metropolitan and rural area, in Queensland, New Zealand and the United States.

“Super Sally”, as she is affectionately known to friends and colleagues because of her background as an insurance and superannuation agent and her remarkable property success, has a portfolio valued at more than $10 million and a net worth of $4 million. And it’s growing.

“This is the story of how I made a lot of money and had huge fun in the process,” Sally says. “I suppose the potential for investing really hit home when my first investment property in Elizabeth (a working club suburb of Adelaide) had a $210 a month mortgage and a $440 rental return. It was a revelation and brought tingles of excitement. I knew then I could do this.”

For all of her success, which has allowed her to travel the world and invest overseas, Sally insists you need to have fun to avoid feeling the pressure of such major investments. As the subtitle suggests, Real Estate Adventures (distributed by Dennis Jones & Associates) relates in a very readable language how Sally made her millions and had fun – or continues to have fun – along the way.
